Vectec Ltd – A Complete Refuelling Site Service
Vectec was established by Simon Fowler in 1994 to provide a complete refuelling site service to commercial, leisure and public sector organisations with refuelling facilities
Our aim was to create a business that focused solely on the needs of business customers without the distraction of the retail forecourt sector. This has left us in a very strong position to deal with every aspect of the storage and dispensing of commercial vehicle fuel, serving a wide range of diverse customers with specialist fuelling services.
Fuel Installation Design
Our specialist projects team can provide a full design for a refuelling facility based on a client’s individual specification, budget or wish list. Vectec can design facilities from as simple as a single pump and tank to multiple above and below ground fuel tanks feeding different fuel grades to multiple fuelling islands in a client’s service yard. Design packages include scaled CAD drawings for import to an architect’s site masterplan. Vectec carries £2 million Professional Indemnity insurance for design purposes.
Fuel Facility Supply & Installation
Vectec are distributors for all commercial fuel pump and fuel management manufacturers in the United Kingdom. Our dispensers have pumping speeds of 45 to 120 litres per minute and of course, meet the Environmental Agency requirements for accuracy of metering. Vectec are approved suppliers of Triscan, Merridale, Jigsaw, Tecalemit, Timeplan and Fueltek fuel management systems. Vectec supply above and below ground fuel storage tanks with associated above or below ground pipework to Blue Book 4th Edition regulations.
We can also offer hazardous area electrical and civil works for a complete package.
Environmental & DSEAR Auditing
With an increasing volume of legislation in the pipeline, an environmental and DSEAR audit of your fuel storage and dispensing facilities will ensure your on-going compliance with all of the relevant environmental statutes and the reclassification of diesel as an ATEX hazardous substance.
Service and Maintenance of Fuel Installation Equipment
Our trained technicians can support and maintain a wide range of fuel pump dispensing equipment. We can tailor a maintenance package to suit your specific requirements. Our national network of associated service companies ensures a prompt response to any emergency.
We can provide tank testing, repainting and cleaning services and also undertake modifications to your existing installations.
Decommissioning of Fuel Installation
At the end of a refuelling facilities service lift, Vectec can arrange for a fuelling facility to be decommissioned. A below ground tank can be foam filled and left in situ or excavated, cut up and removed. An above ground tank can be internally cleaned and taken away for recycling. Vectec also purchases above ground tanks that are suitable for reconditioning.
